August 2015 - Our friends recommended The Green Man to us and it didn't disappoint. Coming from Scotland it was a rare treat to enjoy the sunshine and warmth! Lincoln was marvelous; we enjoyed an open top bus tour and visited the cathedral. Southwell Minster, Belvoir Castle, Burghley House and Woolsthorpe Manor were also much enjoyed. Thank you for a most comfortable and relaxing stay. We will continue to tell everyone about you! Family L from Aberdeenshire.
December 2012 - We have had a wonderful Christmas here. The decorations were a lovely touch. Quite a stunning cottage. P & GQ, Kent.

My best friend and I stayed at Green Man Cottage in September 2009. It is the loveliest place ever! Having unseasonably beautiful weather while we were there (only 1 day of rain!) didn't hurt. The cottage itself is clean, comfortable, and casually stylish. We're from the U.S. and not used to the hot water system in the shower, but we were told the shower was very nice compared to others in the area. The owner, Martha, was very accommodating -- available when we needed her but not hovering when we didn't. The Peacock Inn pub is about 10 steps from the door, and the Windmill pub isn't much further. The back deck and garden are lovely, we spent a lot of time back there. The free wi-fi is kind of funny... we had to set our laptop in the window in the double bedroom, that is the ONLY place wi-fi was accessible. I would stay there again, even live there, with no hesitation.
P.S. I'm from Colorado, USA, not from Redmile... Though I *wish* I was there!!!
Owners' comment - WiFi difficult due to thick stone walls - but it works just fine in the bedroom.
May 2009 - the whole 'cottage' concept completely fulfilled, especially the free-range eggs!! Wonderful weekend.
